Mosa's 10th Anniversary & Charity Fundraiser Bash

Update:
After a rainy week, we were blessed with a perfect window of sunshine just in time for an unforgettable mini block party. The fundraiser came alive with live music, incredible vendors, and amazing food. On the skate side, Cheesebread stomped a clean shove-it, Terrence put down kickflips over the trash can, Giacomo battled a heelflip over the funbox, and Addison towed in Terrence to launch longways over both the funbox and the trash can. Those moments brought extra liveliness to the day, kids and grown-ups skating, cheering, and having fun together, capping off a beautiful fundraiser in support of Harvest House and a fitting celebration of MoSa’s 10th Anniversary at this restaurant location.

Event Description:

On December 21st, Guam Skate Network is bringing the hype to MoSa’s 10th Anniversary and Charity Fundraiser Bash with a Jam Session! Skaters will throw down tricks, style, and creativity on a custom setup built to keep the energy high.

The Guam National Skateboarding Championships

The Guam National Skateboarding Championships

Update:

Due to weather conditions, the Guam National Championship was rained out. After coming together, the athletes voted collectively to postpone the event until the proper dry season. While the rain changed our plans, it did not dampen our spirits. In fact, momentum has only grown! more skaters are training, more people are hearing about the event, and the overall level of competition is shaping up to be exceptionally strong. With the added preparation time, we are expecting a very high-caliber contest in late February or early March.

We also made meaningful progress behind the scenes. We spent quality time with Tommy Fynn, who only judged a few runs but we walked through the judging platform in detail. With connections established at LiveHeats and a trial run completed, we are fully dialed in and ready for the next event. Although we were unable to compete that day, it was far from a loss! this experience highlighted both the demand and the need for indoor skate facilities on Guam. Tommy loved Guam and is genuinely excited to return, we was stoked he got to meet you all and skate alongside the locals at the park before it got rained out.

Stay tuned for confirmed dates and times. We look forward to welcoming everyone who could not make it this time, and we encourage those who can to keep training hard. The next Guam National Championship is going to be something special! Only one will be the Champion, is it you?

Event Description:

Skateboarding history is about to be made! On December 6th, Guam Skate Network will host the first-ever Guam National Skateboarding Championship, a landmark event that will crown Guam’s first National Skateboarding Champion.

This championship is the launchpad to the international stage. Our National Champion will earn the opportunity to represent Guam in Olympic qualifying events, standing alongside the world’s best as they carve their path toward the Games.

The competition will follow the official World Skate Olympic format:

Semifinals – 2/3/2 Format: Each skater gets 2 runs and 3 single trick attempts. Their best run plus their top two tricks count toward their score.

Finals – 3/3/2 Format: The top 8 skaters advance to the finals, where they receive 3 runs and 3 single trick attempts. Again, the best run and best two tricks are combined for the final score.

The event will feature Guam’s top skaters battling it out in an electrifying display of skill, style, and passion with the whole island watching. This is a new chapter for Guam sports, one that places our skaters in the global spotlight and inspires the next generation to dream big.

Do you have what it takes?

*Important Eligibility Note: Skaters from anywhere can compete and even take first place overall if they earn the highest score. However, to be officially crowned Guam’s National Champion and hold the national title, the skater must be a legal resident of Guam. If a non-resident wins first place, the championship title will be awarded to the highest-placing Guam resident.

WSK Tour Kitakyushu

Event Recap! Kitkyushu, Japan:

The Kitakyushu event was nothing short of extraordinary,an eye-opening, wildly inspiring experience at the absolute highest level of competitive skateboarding on the planet. Stepping into this environment felt like joining a moving circus of elite talent, precision, and passion. We were incredibly fortunate to be rubbing shoulders with the world’s best skaters, organizers, and industry leaders, sharing meals, laughs, sessions, and conversations while proudly telling the story of Guam.

Skating the same parks, at the same time, with the top skaters in the world was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and easily one of the most meaningful moments in our skate journey. The connections made, advice shared, and camaraderie built will carry forward well beyond this event as we channel this momentum into the future and toward 2026.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Karen Doyle, First Vice President of World Skate and President of World Skate Oceania, for her continued support, guidance, and belief in our path. Representing Guam internationally in skateboarding for the first time is something we will never forget.

A special thank you as well to Natalia for making our experience just that-much-better, her job is to “make athletes happy” and let me tell you… she made our dreams come true, such a beautiful story she had about literally hand building her skate scene back home in Argnetina, truly inspiring and we cant wait until we meet again! Also to Tommy Fynn for bringing great energy and vibes throughout our time in Japan, adn giving us insight to how the inner machinations of a top competitor lives, breathes, eats, sleeps, and trains for something of this caliber. And also to our new friend Joe Ciaglia of California Skate Parks for taking the time to connect with us and hear our vision. We cant wait to work with you on some amazing projects in the future and meeting you was totally surreal.

Finally, thank you to every staff member, organizer, technical director, announcer, athlete and friend we met along the way for delivering a world-class event with professionalism, heart, and soul. You made this competition truly remarkable and genuinely life-changing. We are beyond grateful and we are reliving this experience everyday while we are now back at home and trying to put to words the awe that we still are experiencing even weeks after the event, This feeling will be with us as we continue building the future of skateboarding for Guam.

So much love for everyone! Thank you so much and see you soon!

Agafagumas Park Clean Up

Agafagumas Park Clean Up

Guam Skate Network proudly partnered with Uncle John Teodoro and his crew to breathe new life into one of our island’s skate parks. What had become buried under months and months of jungle overgrowth was carefully cleared, cut back, and revived through hard work and dedication.

Uncle John and his team literally carved the park back out of the jungle, creating a safe and open space for skaters and families to gather once again. Their effort shows the power of community, when we come together, we can transform forgotten spaces into places of energy, creativity, and opportunity.

We waterblasted the ramps and had some technical issues with equipment but keep you eyes peeled for our next park cleanup to finish it off! it’s a symbol of what skateboarding represents on Guam: resilience, teamwork, and the ability to build something positive for the next generation.
