This is the future… kids discovering joy and friendship, learning to fall and rise again, celebrating each other’s victories, and growing into tomorrow’s leaders. Through skateboarding, they find confidence, resilience, and community- lessons that last far beyond the park.
Community Matters
Guam Skate Network is dedicated to building community through skateboarding. Our inaugural event was a festival we organized on Go Skate Day (International Skating Holiday), bringing together skaters of all ages in a safe, inclusive environment that celebrates the culture and creativity of the sport. We run youth engagement programs such as the DYA Summer Camp, where kids learn not just skateboarding skills but also teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
We partner with schools, youth groups, and local organizations to provide outreach programs, exposing young people to healthy, active lifestyles through skateboarding. Our community initiatives emphasize positive role models, mentoring, and keeping Guam’s youth engaged in sports instead of negative alternatives.
We also advocate for and lead skatepark building and infrastructure projects, working toward safe, world-class facilities that benefit skaters and the community at large. These projects aim to create gathering spaces where families, athletes, and fans can connect and where Guam can proudly host international-level events.
Through every program and event, Guam Skate Network strengthens community ties, promotes healthy living, empowers the next generation, and positions Guam as a leader in Pacific skateboarding culture.
